Daniel Alan Mars – Dynamic Alexander Technique

I’ve spent over 40 years helping people rediscover ease, balance and confidence through the Alexander Technique — but my own journey with this work began long before I became a teacher.
When I trained in London, I deliberately chose a course that wove the Alexander Technique into real-world experiences. Alongside our daily hands-on work, we had singing lessons with Angela Caine, learning how breath and posture shape the voice, and running lessons with Canadian Olympian Paul Collins, exploring how poise, coordination and effortless movement apply to every stride. Those experiences opened my eyes: the Technique isn’t just about sitting or standing well — it’s about how we inhabit ourselves in every activity.
That insight has shaped everything I do. Today, I work with people from all walks of life:
- Individuals seeking relief from postural, muscular, movement or stress-related issues.
- Professionals wanting to speak with more confidence and authority.
- Singers — from shy beginners to seasoned performers — who want to free and “spring-clean” their voices.
Some people come to me because they want to run more smoothly, breathe more freely or sing with more resonance. Others simply want a calmer, more mindful way of moving through their daily lives — whether that’s at home, in the office or performing on stage. The Alexander Technique meets you wherever you are right now.
